Why a headshot booth

Swag gets left in the hotel room. A great headshot gets used for years.

Every attendee needs a current headshot. Almost none of them have one. That makes this the one activation people seek out instead of walk past.

Foot traffic

A line at your booth, on purpose

People wait a few minutes for something they genuinely want. That wait is your team's opening for a real conversation.

Lead capture

Every attendee, captured

Name and email are collected at check-in to deliver the photos. That list goes to you and only you.

Brand that lasts

Your logo on the delivery

Galleries and delivery emails carry your brand or your sponsor's. The photo then lives on LinkedIn long after the event closes.

Visibility creates opportunity. Give your attendees both, with your name attached.

What it is

Not a photo booth. A studio on your show floor.

A conference headshot booth is a staffed professional portrait studio set up at your event: studio lighting, backdrop, expression coaching, and instant digital delivery, so attendees leave with a LinkedIn-ready headshot in minutes.

Where it works

Three ways event teams put it to work.

Exhibitors & sponsors

Trade show booth activation

Turn your 10x10 into the busiest spot in the aisle and walk out with a clean lead list instead of a bowl of business cards.

Event organizers

Attendee perk

A registration benefit people talk about, and an easy sponsorship package to sell with branding built in.

Speakers & VIPs

Speaker lounge studio

Fresh, consistent headshots for every speaker and panelist, ready for next year's agenda and press materials.

How it works

Four steps. We run all of them.

01

Plan the look

We lock in backdrop, branding, lead fields, and the run of show with your team before the event.

02

We set up early

We arrive 60 minutes before doors open. Lighting, backdrop, and delivery are tested and ready.

03

A coached minute

Each attendee gets posing and expression direction and sees their shots live on a tethered screen.

04

Delivered in minutes

A private, branded gallery hits their inbox before they are back at their seat. You get the lead list.

Quick answers

Before you send this to your events team.

How many headshots can you do per hour?

Up to 30+ people per hour with one photographer and up to 60+ per hour with two. Additional stations can be added for larger events.

What is included in the flat rate?

Photographer, studio lighting, backdrop, tethered setup, expression coaching, lead capture, instant sharing, branded private galleries, setup, teardown, and all travel and lodging.

Do you travel outside Charlotte?

Yes. mjwphoto is based in Charlotte, NC and books conference and trade show headshot booths nationwide. The rate is the same in every city.

How fast do attendees get their photos?

Within minutes. Each attendee receives a private gallery link by email and can download and share right away.

Can a sponsor brand the booth?

Yes. Galleries and delivery emails can carry your logo or a sponsor's, which makes the booth an easy sponsorship package to sell.

How does lead capture work?

Attendees enter their name and email at the check-in kiosk so we can deliver their photos. That contact list is handed to your team after the event.

What happens to attendee data?

It is shared only with your event team. It is never sold, and photos and data can be deleted on request once the event wraps.

What space and power do you need?

About 10 x 10 ft per station, a 10 ft ceiling, one standard 110V outlet per station, and a reliable internet connection.

How is this different from a photo booth?

A photo booth is an automated kiosk built for fun. A headshot booth is a staffed professional studio that produces a portrait people use for LinkedIn, company bios, and speaker pages.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as your dates are set. Spring and fall conference season fills first. Short-notice requests are welcome, so reach out either way.
